We live in Charlottesville for 25 years, and had made frequent trips to Northern Virginia and sometimes Boston and New York, for really authentic Chinese food. Since the restaurant opened in 2009, we have dined there almost every week. Food is excellent and quality is stable. Last Friday we tried the weekly special, whole flounder prepared by Chef Martin, which was out of the world. Crispy whole fish and dried fried eggplant are our all-time favorites. Beer duck by Chef Ge is delicious and very popular. Bubble pancakes, pork and bamboo shoots with pancakes, beef pan-fried noodles are ones that we order fairly often. We love hot and spicy, but you can always request less heat. The owner, John and Jenny are friendly, and we are always happy with the service.

still good! Get the eggplant dish, the cilatro fish tacos, the twice cooked pork or the cumin lamb. Yum

The most horrible restaurant you could ever experience in Charlottesville.

Arrogant, greedy, lack of customer consideration, and expensive.

They are only going to give you a SMALL bowl of rice for a dish that costs $13-$16. Just for your own reference, they used to give a big bowl of rice without charge. Now they charge $1.5-$2 for a bowl of rice.

The service is horrible. You can well wait for an hour and sit for another 30 minutes for your ordering and food delivered. Your presence is none of their business.

I feel bad for those who used to love this restaurant. It is one of the blacklisted restaurants because of the people in there.

The main chef is left, what else is left?

The place has deteriorated. The food on our last visit Saturday March 27 was horrible. We have learned that Mr. Chang has left because the owners would not limit the volume of customers. Service remains abysmal.
Save your money and go elswhere.

Food was ok after the famous chef left. The waiters need to be trained, period.

Last night we went there and the owner told us that the new chef has a chicken dish he is proud of. We ordered it. It was ok or below average. However, I am not a big fan of wasting food. Everytime people throw food into trash I feel bad about it. so I still tried my best to finish the dish.

When we paid, owner asked my opinion about the chicken dish and I told her what I think. She walked towards the kitchen wanted to let the chef know about this.

THE WAITER WHO WAS CLEANING THE TABLE YELLED OUT, LOUD, "BUT THEY ATE IT ALL" TWICE!!!!

I guess you could imagine how embarrassed I felt. It was not a big restaurant at all, I guess everybody could hear every word he said clearly. He can't be more rude. This is by far the most horrible horrible experience I had for a meal.
