For many years, I believe Hog Heaven has been the leading barbecue joint in the area. I stopped in recently and can report that they just keep getting better! If you want the real thing, go to HH.

Hog Heaven is still the BEST. Last week I was in New York and had dinner at Manhattan's most famous barbecue restaurant, just off of Times Square. It was okay, but mostly it just made me miss Hog Heaven. Occasionally, I'll have barbecue somewhere else, when I'm travelling, and it always just reaffirms how lucky we are to have HH in our area. Nice people, great and original food, and very reasonable prices. A real southern barbecue place; a local treasure.

One of the few places to get "real" smoked BBQ. The so called "BBQ" at big chain restaurants don't hold a candle to Hog Heaven.
The pulled pork is deliciously smokey and full of flavor even without sauce. The home made sauces only compliment the flavor, instead of covering it up. The ribs have the same great smoky flavor. The hand cut fries are easily the best around.
The staff was friendly and courteous. Our drinks stay filled, and we were checked on regularly. The service met and exceeded any expectations I would have when dining out.
I went in with no prophecy to self fulfill and left stuffed and happy. I will be going back frequently to enjoy the best REAL BBQ in town, and I recommend you do too.

I really gave this place a chance knowing that the owner was supposed to be rude, service bad, location bad, etc. but it surpassed even my worst expectations. This place is flat out terrible. Unless you have no idea what BBQ is all about you will hate this place. Even then you probably will as well. Everything I had and I tried one of everything came right out of the microwave. I watched him. The pulled pork was way too sauced, the chicken wings were obviously previously smoked and then microwaved because the insides were cold. The ribs were pulled out of a piece of plastic wrap and nuked and tough and chewy. The brisket was average but too saucy and too smoked. Only thing that was good was the fried okra and it surely came from Sysco.
The hostility and rudeness of the owner went even beyond what I could of imagined. They plain forgot 3 of our ordered items but we didn't say anything because they were so defensive if you asked them anything and were plain rude when I asked for something on the menu. He said he didn't have it and acted like I was an idiot for not knowing that. That occurred on 2 other items as well.
Depressing and very bad. I have eaten at probably 50 BBQ places in my life and it is by and far the worst.
on a scale of 10, it is a 1 only because of the fried okra.

Real good BBQ, excellent sauce selection. Get it to go. The decor is nothing to jump and down about but the food is good. Prices are fair, there is NO cheap BBQ.
